Simon Frederick’s Black Is The New Black at The National Portrait Gallery

A selection of exceptional of contemporary figures drawn from the world of politics, business, culture, religion and science, becomes the largest acquisition of African-Caribbean sitters and the subject of a major display of these portraits. Beautifully shot by artist and director Simon Frederick, the line-up of influential figures paint a unique portrait of modern Britain’s past, present and future in this first of its kind exhibition at The National Portrait Gallery.

This distinguished sitters, includes Naomi Campbell, Sir Trevor McDonald, Thandie Newton, musicians Jazzie B of Soul II Soul and Dizzee Rascal, Tinie Tempah, Sir Lenny Henry, Goldie, Reggie Yates, David Harewood, Baroness Patricia Scotland, John Sentamu - Archbishop of York, Ozwald Boateng and Alesha Dixon amongst others.
